Trick or Treat

Here are some pics from Halloween. Kayleen and Wesley really enjoyed trick or treating around the neighborhood. Unlike Kayleen last year, Wes didn't cry at all and seemed to enjoy the ride. As you can see, David decided to carve pumpkins this year. We were all really impressed by the results so of course I had to take pictures of them. I think David found his hidden talent!! :) Check out that last pumpkin... Please excuse the non-stellar quality of the pictures--night photography is not my thing!

Kayleen and the boy next door

We went to the park and saw N, the little boy we'd seen frequently at the park for the past 2 years. He is about 2 months younger than Kayleen. We haven't seen him for a few months so we were surprised to see how big he's gotten. He is much more outgoing than Kayleen, and enthusiastically took Kayleen's hands and lead her everywhere around the playground. Kayleen wasn't sure at all about this boy (as you can see from her face hehe...) but amazingly she didn't run away rom him. Here are some shots of them...

Sweet Tiny Miss H

The R Family's baby had arrived, and I had the pleasure of capturing this precious newborn. I must say that Tiny Miss H is one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen! She was almost 2 weeks old when I photographed her. Isn't she just precious?! M&M&D, enjoy your sneak peek! :)

Shower cap

Here's a snapshot of Kayleen in a shower cap. Isn't she cute? Hehe... It's a convenient way to make sure that her hair doesn't get wet during those "non-shampoo" days....

Family Practice

Practicing on my sister-in-law the other day...isn't she lovely? :) We also finally convinced my brother to join in. He doesn't like pictures but I got him hehe..... Great looking couple, aren't they?!

Nanny-Part VIII

I interviewed another nanny yesterday. An agent brought her to our house. She came with her husband and we really liked her. Let's call her Tante L. She was an Indo lady from Surabaya, 54 years old, and been here for 7 years. Had 3 grown-up kids in Indo and could speak English since she had worked for Americans. She also had extensive experience as a nanny and was with the families for a long period of time. Everything sounded great so we hired her and she started yesterday.

Even on the first night (which she hasn't officially "started" yet), she already helped me washed the pile of dishes and practically cleaned the kitchen. Kayleen also immediately taken to her because she made an effort to play and talk to her. Wes wasn't here with us since he was with my parents at their new house so I couldn't really judge how well she was with him.

We felt comfortable with her and so far, so good.... We are "cautiously" happy (for now).
